From Essex, England I completed 30 years as a Police Sergeant in the Metropolitan Police. My last role was concerned with the protection of vulnerable young and elderly citizens in my precinct. Animal crazy, I have been involved in animal rescue all my life, with Rottweilers being my passion. We have two rescue dogs; a Rottie called Bear and a Pit-Bull / Rottie cross called Bobbi.
I was born and raise in London England. In the past I have worked as a Fitness Instructor, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and I served 15 years as a Metropolitan Police Officer, with most of my service on the Youth Engagement Team. I worked with young people in London caught up in knife crime for my last 8 years. I have a beautiful daughter called Rae, and Rae has two dogs; a Pug called Missy and an Australian Shepherd called River.
I grew up surrounded by dogs! At age 14, I found two orphaned jackrabbits and raised them until they could be released in the wild. My career is in teaching, but I have volunteered in animal rescue for the since 2009. I do medical, neonate and hospice fostering for cats in my home, and work with dogs in the shelter. I am skilled in administering medication to dogs and cats; orally, trans-dermally and injection. I am able to administer subcutaneous fluids and have been trained in canine and feline CPR. Comfortable with all sizes and breeds of animals, pit bull hold a special place in my heart. I have participated in shy dog socialization classes and pit bull manners classes with rescue dogs and can work with shy or more dominant dogs. I have also been part of the feline socialization team at the animal shelter and I am skilled in working with shy cats. I currently have two rescue cats of my own, Fiona and Duchess. I have been petsitting for 10yrs, and have been with Critter Caretakers since 2014.
With over 30 years of pet care, I’ve personally cared for, owned, and loved dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, parrots, and snakes. As the former owner of Critter Caretakers, and an animal rescue volunteer, I have a way with animals, including anxious, shy, and ‘tough to get to know animals’, that is not typical. My gentle, loving and playful demeanor appeals to all animals. People ask me why I love animals so much - it’s because of their often deep and unconditional love. I know how hard it is to leave your critters behind with someone else and *hope* they receive the same love, attention, and exceptional care they get when you’re there with them. It’s my desire to assure you that your pets will be loved, cared for and tended to as if they belonged to me. Just know that it brings me great joy to know your pets are happy while you’re away! Of course I can’t replace you, but I can do my best to help make their time away from you fun, safe, and secure!
I have had a passion for animals as far back as I can remember. My house growing up was always full of an array of critters, from the smallest lizards to horses. I have owned both large and small breed dogs, and I am very comfortable with both. I worked for two years recently as a foster parent for the Yavapai Humane Society. She also raised several litters of kittens and found homes for them. It was a very rewarding experience for her. Randi also volunteered at weekly events held to find homes for various shelter dogs. She currently owns two cats – 13 year old litter mates, a 1 year old desert tortoise, and a she has a koi pond. She believes Critter Caretakers is the perfect job for her, allowing her to take care of lots of different animals. Randi is available for pet sitting in North East Mesa and is comfortable administering medications, both oral and pill to pets.
I have been with Critter Caretaker's for since 2016 and I must say I love cats! Since we had seven kids in our family when I was growing upI didn't get my first kitty until 2000. Since then we have had five and right now we have three. When I catsit my biggest concern is interacting with your furbabies. I try my best to get them to come out for pets and cuddling, and to play. Nothing makes me happier than to coax out a scaredy cat. I will take care of your furbabies as if they were my own.
I have loved and owned various types of animals all of my life. My first dog named Pepe was a rescue and I was 9 years old. I raised 3 boys so we had a variety of pets to include dogs, cats, turtles, fish, snakes and birds. My friends and family started asking me to petsit approximately 5 years ago so when I retired I continued as I thoroughly enjoy it. I currently have 4 dogs. Three of my own and one foster.
I have always had animals of some kind my life. I grew up with a black Cocker Spaniel and a turtle named Junior. Stray dogs used to “find” me even when I was a little girl. My family had dogs for a long time, but when I was in the 6th grade, I was given a newborn kitten whose mother had gotten run over by a car. “Lucky” lived with me for 16 years. After that, I cared for and loved cats, dogs, birds and fish — sometimes separately, sometimes all at the same time. I started pet sitting for others when I was 10 and really haven't stopped since! I absolutely love all animals and taking care of them – It’s my passion. I have volunteered with the AZ Humane Society, mostly working with cats and I am currently the proud mom of 2 rescue cats who found me after they were abandoned. I have been with Critter Caretakers since 2017 and work as a pet sitter full time.
My true passion in life is the care and well-being of animals. I will treat your family members as if they were my own. Animals bring such joy to my heart and I know the importance of a pet owner leaving and knowing their pet family is well cared for. I have owned pets all my life and cannot imagine life without a pet. It will be my honor to love and care for your pets while you are away!
I am an Arizona native. I retired from state government in 2015 to do what I love which includes spending time with family, camping, hiking and being outdoors. My family currently consists of six children (four with fur), four grandchildren (one with fur) and husband John. Since retirement I have discovered I would rather spend her time in the company of animals; “Animals possess all the qualities you wish people exhibited. They are generally trusting and friendly and are always happy to see you”. I have volunteered my time since retiring with Apache Junction Paws & Claws and Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue. Cattle dogs have been in my home since I can remember and current there are two, Finnigan and Jax-a-Roonie. No stranger to cats I recall having five living in my home at one time, now down to two, Lincoln and Veruca. I currently resides on the border of East Mesa and Apache Junction.
