While we love pet sitting in Gilbert and Mesa, we don’t restrict our love of animals to just those two communities. At Critter Caretakers, we like to get involved in the community at large and help out when we can. So when we heard that Maricopa County Animal Care & Control was in desperate need of help with laundering their blankets, we stepped in. At first I brought home a bunch of laundry to wash myself. Then to add insult to injury, their on-site washing machine broke down.  I decided to ramp up our assistance efforts and put out a call to our clients.

Critter Caretakers decided to hold a food/blanket/towel donation drive for the pets at MCACC. Well, I’d set a goal for us to donate 150 pounds of dog food and 75 of cat food.  After all the donations were in, between what our clients contributed and the company added, we were WAY above our goal. We dropped off an amazing 226.5 pounds of dog food and 85.5 pounds of cat food!!!!! Plus I’d venture close to 75 blankets and towels.

An outstanding total of 312 pounds of food was dropped off at the shelter today!!! 

The shelter is always looking for donations, which they need to survive, and has many wonderful pets waiting for forever homes.
